Facts & Questions
What is Hey Mom?
Hey Mom is a gentle emotional support platform where you can schedule a call with a nurturing, grounded woman a “Hey Mom” who listens, comforts, and supports you the way a mother figure would.
It’s not therapy. It’s not coaching.
It’s emotional presence, warmth, and grounding.
Who are the Hey Moms?
Hey Moms are compassionate, emotionally mature women who naturally carry mother-energy.
They are:
• Warm
• Grounded
• Non‑judgmental
• Good listeners
• Emotionally safe
They are not therapists or crisis workers — they are supportive mother figures.
Are calls recorded?
No.
Calls are never recorded.
We protect your privacy and emotional safety at all times.
How long are the calls?
During the pilot, calls are typically 15–30 minutes.
As the platform grows, longer call options will be added.
How much does it cost?
Right now, during the pilot, calls are free.
After the pilot, calls will be low-cost ($5–$10) so we can begin compensating our moms for their emotional labor.
Why are calls free during the pilot?
We’re in an early testing phase.
Free calls allow us to:
• Test the call flow
• Gather feedback
• Train moms
• Improve the experience
Once the pilot ends, moms will be paid per call.
Will moms be paid in the future?
Yes.
After the pilot, Hey Moms will receive per‑call compensation, and earnings will grow as the platform grows.
We deeply value emotional labor.
Can I ask a Hey Mom for money or financial help?
No.
Callers may not ask moms for:
• Money
• Loans
• Cash App / Venmo / Zelle
• Gifts
• Personal favors
• Off‑platform communication
Hey Mom is a space for emotional support, not financial support.
What if I need to cancel my call?
During the pilot, calls are free, but we still ask that you cancel or reschedule at least 4 hours before your appointment so our moms’ time is respected.
What if I don’t answer when the mom calls?
If you miss your call, it is considered a no‑show.
You’re welcome to schedule again, but repeated no‑shows may result in limited access to protect our moms’ time.
Is Hey Mom therapy?
No.
Hey Mom is not therapy, counseling, or crisis support.
It is emotional presence, comfort, and grounding — similar to talking to a mother figure.
What if I’m in crisis or feel unsafe?
Hey Mom is not a crisis hotline.
If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline in your area.
